EPM Server with Lab Workshop

About the Workshop:

Linux systems are a cornerstone of modern IT infrastructure, especially in enterprise environments, but they also represent a critical target for cyberattacks. Managing root access, controlling sudo privileges, and securely elevating user permissions are essential for minimizing risks associated with unauthorized access and privilege escalation. In this 3-hours hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to use CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager (EPM) to secure Linux systems, focusing on securing root access, managing sudoers files, and executing sudo commands on behalf of users. Through practical exercises, attendees will gain the knowledge and tools needed to enforce least-privilege policies, audit sudo activity, and safeguard Linux environments against privilege escalation attacks.

Pre-requisites:

• Basic understanding of Linux systems
• Good understanding of privilege management & cybersecurity principles
• CyberArk Certified Pre-sales Engineer (CPE) EPM or CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineer (CDE) EPM
• Admin access to a CyberArk EPM tenant. Self-registration: https://www.cyberark.com/try-buy/endpoint-privilege-manager-trial/

Reach out to your CyberArk Channel SE to extend the EPM tenant if the tenant expires on or before 1 March 2025.

Breakout 1: CyberArk Identity Flows

About the Workshop:

In this session, you will get hands-on with CyberArk Identity Flows. An instructor led session where you will

• Get familiar and explore Identity Flows
• Build a flow to integrate with your EPM tenant earlier to create an access request flow
• Build forms to display sets and policies from EPM for access request selection
• Trigger EPM APIs to update selected policy configuration
• Test the policy update using your Linux host

Pre-requisites:

To ensure the best learning experience, participants are expected to have completed one of the following:

• Completed 2024 ASEAN Partner Bootcamp Workforce OR
• Completed CyberArk EPM Lab

Breakout 2: CyberArk Multi-cloud Security Workshop

In today's dynamic cloud environments, robust cloud security is essential to protect sensitive data, ensure compliance, and defend against advanced cyber threats. CyberArk empowers organizations by delivering robust solutions for privileged access management, identity security, and cloud entitlements management, ensuring strong admin privileges access across multi-cloud environments.

About the Workshop:

The CyberArk Multi-cloud Security Workshop is designed to provide CyberArk partners with a deep understanding of how modern, zero-standing privileges solutions address the unique needs tailored for Cloud IT Administrators and Developers.

Agenda:

• Accessing the CyberArk: ISPS Tenant
• Securing Access to Multi-cloud Workloads (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Using the CyberArk EPM-W Machines
• Managing Access to Multi-cloud Consoles
• Multi-cloud Hackathon

Pre-requisites:

If you do not have an Azure EPM to Ad and AWS environment before attending the Bootcamp Multi-Cloud Security Workshop, CyberArk will send you the setup guide on or around the week of 27 February 2025. You should take 2 to 4 hours to set up your EPM and Ad environment setup.

If you did not attend the 2024 Partner Bootcamp Cloud Security Workshop under CyberArk CPS-CPC or CPE Access, please complete the "Introduction to CyberArk Identity as a Shared Service (ISPS)" course (2 hours) before attending the Bootcamp Multi-Cloud Security Workshop.

Breakout 1: CyberArk Identity Flows

Start of Flows Hackathon

In this session, you will work in groups of 2-3 persons and design a flow that will help in solving or meeting customers' requirements that you had seen in the field. Ideally, it should involve a CyberArk solution, however, for this hackathon, let your mind be free. Thus, even if it does not involve any CyberArk solution, it is alright. On 27 February afternoon, you will be required to present the flow and it should cover the following

• Business problem
• Overview of the solution using flow
• Demo the solution
• Benefits

Pre-requisites:

If you do not have an Azure EPM to Ad and AWS environment before attending the Bootcamp Multi-Cloud Security Workshop, CyberArk will send you the setup guide on or around the week of 27 February 2025. You should take 2 to 4 hours to set up your EPM and Ad environment setup.

At the end of the hackathon, all the flows created will be made available to everyone. This means you will walk away with a catalogue of flows which you can immediately start to use for your next customer engagement.

The CyberArk Multi-Cloud Security Workshop is designed to provide CyberArk partners with a deep understanding of our modern, zero-standing privileges solutions. Participants will learn how to secure access to multi-cloud services and workloads using advanced tools tailored for Cloud IT Administrators and Developers.

• Accessing the CyberArk ISPSS Tenant
• Securing Access to Multi-Cloud Workloads (e.g., Databases, EC2/VM Machines)
• Securing Access to Multi-Cloud Consoles
• Multi-Cloud Hackathon

Pre-requisites:

Set up your own MS Azure Entra ID and AWS environment before attending the Bootcamp Multi-Cloud Security Workshop. CyberArk will send you the setup guide on or before the week of 27 February 2025. You should take 2 to 4 hours to complete your Azure and AWS environment setup.

If you did not attend the 2024 Partner Bootcamp Cloud Security Workshop OR you are not CDE-CPC or CDE-Access, please complete the "Introduction to CyberArk Identity as a Shared Service (ISPSS)" course (2 hours) before attending the Bootcamp Multi-Cloud Security Workshop.
